Reinforced Plywood Timber

335

Description

This is a timber element composed by plywood and it is reinforced for plywood pieces. It works for walls, intermediate floors and roofs. Like in CLT, this RPT has structure in itself and it doesn't need a principal structure. In a simple example it has two plywood layers and in between it has a zig zag of longitudinal plywood pieces working as studs in wood framing or beams in an intermediate floor. The plywood layers (1 inch) are made of two layers of 1/2 "" plywood. The thick of these layers and the internal zig zag will depend of the structural requirements. The wall element would have the standard international hight (8 f), but for intermadiate floorings there should be longer plywoods. This RPT has the advantage that can be filled with insulation. For the exteriors it'll be necessary to apply all the technical specifications like in any wooden building.

Key benefit

One element for all (walls, roofs, floors)

Material list

Plywood and glue.

Ecological values

This element is made out of 100% wood. It's practical and it speeds up the building time and it reduces the energetic building expenses.
