LowE wall

LowE wall is an offsite system of wall panels spanning between structural main frames. The frames can be timber or steel based material. The panels have been used already extensively in commercial/retail projects. The panels consist of internal finish, vapour barrier, insulation, engineered wood product structural frame, external sheating, breather memberane. Battens and external cladding are an option. It is also possible to build a brick external wall. Within the panels it is possible to create lintols for openings like doors and windows. It is also possible to self support the panels with a beam integrated in the panel. The panels are produced by offsite manufacturers and sent to the building site partly finished to the outside, and ready for painting on the inside. The installation is very quick. 600m2 can easily be installed per week with a 3 man team.

Ecological values

The LowE commercial wall has u-values starting from 0.20W/m2K and can go down to 0.10W/m2K. this depends on the type and thickness of insulation. The airtightness in tests on site (in-situ) were also very low.

  • Economical span (mm) 12000
