Description

Our concept called “sandwich” is a wood-based solution that integrates debris and builds on the original structure while building it. Sandwich is the development of a caisson whose use is generalized to horizontal and vertical walls. This 6 m long, 0.30 cm high and 60 cm wide U-shaped element with two 5 cm fins on each side. Sandwich is composed of two frames and a panel on the underside forming the core. Sandwich collects a significant amount of debris with 0.2 m3 of debris/m2 of wall. The debris is reused for its acoustic and thermal insulation qualities by providing mass and promoting inertia in the building. In the case of vertical walls the rubble: stones, bricks and others can be left visible, entirely or partially according to their state. Sandwich is a U panel made of Kerto R. Its weight of 110kg for a length of 6m makes it manual portable and quick to implement. This component can be filled once in place, by hand or mechanically with debris adapted to the function of the wall. The rib assembly on the core of the box is done by straight tail and mortise opens which the hold is ensured by screw. This assembly does not use glue, allows an easy disassembly of the solution. Sandwich is a component that can be combined to form other profiles: in H, or closed boxes allowing to adapt to all forms of reconstruction or even to be developed in roof and allow by sliding to adapt the slope and to manage the flow of stormwater
