Wood is a sustainable and re-growing building material. It has a lot of advantages compared to other materials. It is light, but still rigid and stiff. It is flexible and elastic and resistant against impacts of all kinds. It is easy to be treated and can be brought in all forms you can imagine. But there is one disadvantage, wood is not weatherproof. Wind and rain and strong solar radiation combined with a huge temperature range can speed up the ageing process of wood tremendously. With its worldwide unique technology ASSYX has found the solution to make wood weatherproof. ASSYX DuroCONSTRUCT; building elements combine all the advantages of Kerto-Q LVL-products with Polyurethane plastic material. Polyurethane is a duroplastic polymer material which is weather-proof and uv-resistant under a wide temperature range. ASSYX uses Kerto-Q-LVL and coats it inseparable with Polyurethane. An ingenious combination of wood and polyurethane: As light as wood but nevertheless as durable as steel. The optimal building material for all outdoor applications that can be made of wood, f. i. like flooring for roof terraces.
