Clickmodul

Description

Clickmodul is a fast-assembly bond for invisible joints. Elements are connected to one another with a click. Joining items with Clickmodul shortens production time of the final product. The assembly of elements with the Clickmodul technique is easy and, due to the absence of plasic or metal, also ecological. It can be used for fixing LVL panels in construction. Clickmodul could be available as a strip, which is simply cut with a saw and screwed on to worked object or cut out from LVL panels with CNC machine. The minimum thickness of LVL panels could be 30mm.

Key benefit

panel connection, fast mounting,

Material list

LVL (laminated veneer lumber) panels.

Ecological values

Clickmodul connection can be made only from LVL. It can be cut out from panel. This mean no additional waste of plastic or metal and lower energy use. Also easy process of recycling in the end of product life.

Reviews

  • As mentioned before, the possibilities of providing by CNC machining technology are given. When machining there is to be noted, that depending on material thickness and grain direction, LVL or plywood materials can lose on strength and stability. This is important to think about, on the design of the counterpart connection.
  • With the latest CNC machining of material, it should not be a problem to create this connection system. If the connector is separate from the panel, it will also allow on site adjustment, in case something has changed since the design was created.
  • Ease-of-click certainly is a benefit. I'd question the system in two ways: some locking system could be suitable, to avoid "unclick" where uplift loads happen in the structure. Also, male part of the clip could be available as a strip too, rather than milling in panels.
