Modular Building Blocks

Building Blocks for apartments and small commercial use, roughly 7m x 3.5m x 3m (L x W x H) in size. They can be manufactured off-site and easily assembled on site by stacking them next to each other and on top of each other. They are assembled by attaching them through steel connectors. The majority of the walls are removable or interchangeable. The size of each store and apartment can, therefore, be changed later on. The structural building material is mostly Kerto-S for beams and pillars and various different materials for the walls, floors, and ceilings, including glass panels, insulated panels, and load-bearing panels.

  • A design that takes heed of the idea of the sustainability chain from the beginning of selection of materials to the end of the later local adaptation. The number of floors and the arrangement of the modules, as well as their access, will certainly be a challenge in further planning.
  • It looks an easy concept, indeed. Have you thought how many stories could be superposed?
  • A very easy to understand building concept. The idea to be able to move it if necessary and change the arrangement is bringing a new dimension to the ecological values of timber construction.
