Description

Porous high-rise as combination of vernacular structures with green terraces in urban environment Nowadays importance of every plot of land due to high-speed urbanization prompts the popularity of the construction of high-rise buildings. Progress in timber construction allows to build with massive wood columns up to 12 storeys and more. Combination of 2 modules allows to create porous structure of high-rise buildings with 'holes' - terraces for greenery.

Reviews

  • Well described multi-story system based on only 2 modules. High potential for industrial construction. The LVL based wall panels can also take some vertical loading so some of the beams can most likely be left out.
  • This is a very effective concept using Kerto. It combines a small selection of modular and linear elements. The integration of horizontal tree space is very interesting, as it reflects the structure's origin. Using the inclined sloping elements will also contribute to the stabilisation of the whole structure.
